All submissions must be previously unpublished. We do accept simultaneous submissions; please write to us immediately if your work is accepted elsewhere. Our standard response time is 1-2 months, and sometimes sooner, during our reading period. Please wait to hear back from us before sending more work.

Short stories and essays should be no more than 5000 words. We will consider exceptional flash fiction and micro-essays, as well as genre work only if it expands upon genre conventions.
Flash fiction and micro-essays should be no more than 800 words, and please do not submit more than 3 pieces at a time. Excerpts from book-length manuscripts must be self-contained. Please submit double-spaced, professionally formatted prose.

Please send all poems in a single document.
